“Inflation sped up in five German states in February, buoyed by soaring energy costs, a sign that price pressures in the euro zone could continue to accelerate above the European Central Bank’s target. Prices in North-Rhine Westphalia (NRW) — Germany’s most populous state — were 2.1 percent higher than a year ago, up from 2.0 percent in January, data showed on Friday.” Read more.
