The National Endowment for the Arts released a study on Monday showing that people who perceive they are in a higher income bracket are more likely to have attended an artistic presentation in the last year, The Wall Street Journal reported. Previous studies have shown that people who earn more, and have higher education, have made more frequent trips to see shows and stroll around a museum. But, “That held true even when economists removed income as a factor. In other words, Americans who view themselves as better off are more likely to engage in the arts whether or not they actually make more,” according to the story. It’s a fascinating story, check it out here.
