Robert Doerr became involved with the Bastiat Society of Great Barrington chapter after a long career in the investment banking industry, where he advised institutional clients on their long term, fixed income, taxable securities investments. Robert was most recently with R.W. Baird, Inc., and is now thriving as a real estate sales associate with Cohen and White Associates, LLC in Lenox, MA.

Robert is a member of the University Club in New York and is active in the First Congregational Church, Stockbridge. His interests are in music, art, economics, history and all forms of literature. These days he is fascinated by the large movements and rapid blending of societies and cultures on the globe that create significant shifts in geopolitical power groups. He asserts we are living in interesting times!

Robert is a 1971 graduate of Moravian University in Bethlehem, PA, where he received his degree in English Literature. Before his involvement with the Bastiat Society, he spent many years living in Manhattan while keeping a weekend home in the Berkshire Hills. He is happy to be a full-time Berkshirian now. He has two wonderful daughters who are both still in school.
