Fellow, Sound Money Project

Patrick Newman is an Assistant Professor of Economics and a Fellow with the Center for Free Enterprise at Florida Southern College. He is also an associate scholar of the Ludwig von Mises Institute. His research interests include Austrian economics, monetary theory, and late 19th and early 20th century American economic history. He has published articles in scholarly journals, including the Review of Austrian Economics, Independent Review, and Research in the History of Economic Thought and Methodology. He is also the editor of Roots of the Modern State: The Progressive Era, by Murray Rothbard.

Newman earned his Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University and his B.A. in Economics and Mathematics at Rutgers University.
