Host: William J. Luther, Director of AIER’s Sound Money Project
Date: July 26th – 29th 2018
Location: American Institute for Economic Research, 250 Division Street, Great Barrington, MA
Registration fee: $250

The Sound Money Project Annual Meeting brings together prominent and emerging scholars to discuss cutting-edge ideas in monetary economics and macroeconomics. Our goal is to help develop these ideas into publishable papers while creating an environment that fosters new research collaborations. To this end, participants will present and discuss unpublished manuscripts in a series of workshops.

This year’s keynote address will be delivered by George Selgin, the director of the Cato Institute’s Center for Monetary and Financial Alternatives. Selgin will discuss his forthcoming book, FLOORED!: How a Misguided Fed Experiment Deepened and Prolonged the Great Recession.

Selected attendees will stay at the mansion of the American Institute for Economic Research in Great Barrington, MA  for the duration of the colloquium. AIER will also arrange transportation to and from the Albany Airport.

We will circulate all of the papers being presented one month prior to the event. Attendees are expected to read all of the works in advance of the annual meeting in order to make substantive suggestions for the presenting authors.
