How the Affordable Care Act Affects Your Health Insurance Costs

Partisan reactions to the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, have generated conflicting claims about how the law will affect health insurance costs. Supporters argue that the new law is making affordable, comprehensive health insurance available to Americans. Opponents claim it is driving up insurance costs to untenable levels.

This AIER Research Study describes how the Affordable Care Act changes health insurance in the U.S. and how those changes will affect the cost of health insurance and out-of-pocket costs of individuals through 2016.

The study provides data and analysis on how the Affordable Care Act is changing the health insurance markets and affecting how much people pay for health care. Our study also provides a guide to the ACA for each health insurance group.
