Dr. James Broughel is a Senior Fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Dr. Broughel is an accomplished economist whose expertise lies in regulatory institutions and the impact of regulations on economic growth.

Broughel received his PhD in economics from George Mason University and his BA and MA in economics from Hunter College of the City University of New York. He is author of the book “Regulation and Economic Growth: Applying Economic Theory to Public Policy” and is a regular columnist at Forbes.
