Portland, Maine

< BACK to CDI TOOL
Maine’s largest city has a presence far larger than its small size. Although Portland is better known as a port than a college town, the city’s population is fairly well educated, although unsurprisingly, it lacks diversity. Portland’s entertainment takes form in excellent museums and art galleries as well as abundant green space and great eateries --try the lobster rolls. Economically it is a good fit, with decent labor-market conditions, relatively high innovation, and manageable rents.
