Jacksonville, N.C.

< BACK to CDI TOOL
Jacksonville gained its 18th spot with a decent quality of life and relatively favorable economic conditions. Demographically, the town is young and diverse. This can be attributed to the large military presence at Camp Lejeune, a Marine Corps base. Although diverse, Jacksonville has the smallest college-educated population in our top 20. Bars and restaurants are plentiful, and beautiful beaches are only a short drive away. However, one will definitely need a car to get to them and around the spread-out metro.
