Fargo, N.D.

< BACK to CDI TOOL
Named for William Fargo of Wells Fargo Express Co., North Dakota’s biggest city has been maintained its status as a frontier town. Fargo is more than just the name of a great Coen Brothers film and spin-off TV show. The home to North Dakota State University offers the third-best economic climate of our college towns, which is unsurprising, considering its ideal labor market conditions and the cheapest rents in its category. Being in a thinly populated state, Fargo has the second lowest diversity among our college towns.
