September 4, 2019 Reading Time: 2 minutes

For a couple of years now, I’ve woken up to my home assistant (I used Google, but there are now many) reading me the news. It can be infuriating at times, of course, but then you land on something wonderful from Wired magazine or the Wall Street Journal or BBC. It makes it worth it.

Earlier this year, some of us wondered how we could make the voice of the American Institute for Economic Research become part of people’s lives in their homes as well. I’m thrilled to announce that this is a reality right now! You can get the instruction at AIER.org/Listen

You can listen right on this website. Or you can say:

“Hey Google, talk to the American Institute for Economic Research.” You can listen to article after article.

Or:

“Alexa, open American Institute Economic Research.”

You can also add the AIER Briefing by searching for American Institute for Economic Research on your Alexa app.

To enable Alexa skill in the Alexa app:

  1. From the menu, select Skills & Games.

  2. Search for American Institute for Economic Research, and then select it to open the skill detail page.

  3. Select Enable Skill, or ask Alexa to open the skill. Tip: Refer to the skill’s detail page for examples of things to say and to learn more.

There are other ways to get this daily content.

Try it out!

Thank you for listening to AIER.
