For students interested in pursuing a Ph.D., related fields include Economic History, Public Policy and Political Science - particularly if they relate to traditional notions of political economy. AIER also looks very favorably upon applications from students who are entering law school in pursuit of the juris doctor or similar degree. Preference is given to students who demonstrate an interest in property rights and law and economics, and other related fields within law.
