The calculator makes no attempt to forecast future price levels, however, if you find forecasted values of the CPI, and have the current CPI, available on the BLS web site, you can use the same formula the calculator uses to calculate predicted changes in the cost-of-living. The reliability and accuracy of the results will depend on the reliability and accuracy of your forecasted CPI data.
