If you previously attended AIER’s Summer Fellowship Program as a Student Fellow, you may be eligible to apply to return this summer as a returning summer Fellow.

As a returning Summer Fellow, you are not required to attend the core seminars. Instead, you’ll have the opportunity to work on your own research project and share your findings in a workshop with AIER research staff, Summer Fellows, and Visiting Research Fellows.

We encourage you to apply as soon as possible, as space for returning Fellows is very limited.

Summer Fellowship Program dates for 2012

Session 1: June 11–22
Session 2: July 16–27

Deadline to apply:  March 23, 2012

Please submit the following

• Completed  application form
• Vita/Resumé
  Update us on what you’ve been doing since we last saw you
  List and describe any new honors, awards, or financial assistance you received
  List and describe any new and relevant leadership positions you have held
• Update of proposed course of study at graduate school
  Indicate your preliminary field(s) of interest
  Indicate what you plan to do when your formal education is complete
  If some details are not yet decided, please tell us
• Official transcripts
  Send updated official transcript(s) of graduate work
• Research project proposal
  Please submit a 500-word outline of your proposed summer research project
  Indicate why you think the topic would be of interest to AIER
