For 75 years American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) has offered unbiased research to the general public.  Our research is provided by eminent economists and scholars and provides timely and incisive analysis of contemporary issues and trends.  In summer 2007, for example, AIER explained the nation was close to a recession—a full half-year before popular media reported it.  More significantly, AIER warned of the impending crises in Social Security and Medicare before these programs even became law.  AIER’s sustaining members, however, were apprised of such information long before the general public, via the Institute’s twice-monthly Research Reports and monthly Economic Education Bulletin.
