Global warming is a topic fraught with controversy and strong viewpoints. Much of the public discussion on global warming has very little focus on the science and economics behind the proposed solutions.

In November, 2007, American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) brought together speakers with a wide range of viewpoints and expertise. For example, they compared the merits of a carbon tax with a “cap and trade” approach. They also examined the inner-workings of the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and argued that the IPCC’s process of review and inquiry is seriously flawed

The Global Warming Debate: Science, Economics, and Policy brings together twelve of the most interesting presentations on the issues surrounding global warming. From the current state of scientific knowledge on global warming to the theoretical perspectives on the issue, this title presents a much broader perspective on global climate change than you can find anywhere else.

Excellent!! Only by reading a number of differing viewpoints on a subject can one reasonably expect to develop and informed opinion of their own. Gore
is viewed by many as the "messiah" of global warming which, in my opinion is alarming. I have concluded that we just don't know yet what is
causing the current warming cycle.
