The College Destionations Index (2009-10 Edition) is still creating a stir nationally amongst news outlets and universities. As the Deseret News writes:
Just as real estate value can often be calculated according to where the property is located, so too can higher education, according to the American Institute for Economic Research.
Articles also appeared in: The Salt Lake Tribune, ABC 4 (Salt Lake City affliliate), Live MSP, Inside Iowa State, the Daily Illini (student newspaper of the University of Illinois) and KSL-TV (NBC affliate in Salt Lake City).

UPDATE (Sept. 23): Many other news outlets have picked up the story on the CDI. These included the New Orleans Times-Picayune, University of Utah student newspaper, WVBR (radio station out of Ithaca, NY), KUTV (Salt Lake City, UT) had this to say during their broadcast:
Two Utah college towns are among the top destinations in the country. Salt Lake City ranked 21st nationally of best college towns. Logan ranked 13th among small college towns and 68th nationally. The study By the American Institute for economic and 886th 68th national nationally. The study by the American Institute for economic research assessed academic environment quality of Life and professional opportunities. New York City was at the top of the list among major Metro areas, San Francisco, Boston, Washington, DC And Seattle rounded out the top 5.

UPDATE (Oct. 13): The Honolulu Star Gazette and Pacific University discuss Honolulu's CDI ranking. UPDATE (Oct. 16): The CEO of the Chamber of Commerce in Ames, Iowa touts its CDI ranking. UPDATE (Oct. 19): TV Stations KEZI (Eugene, OR) and KDRV (Medford, OR) broadcast segments about Corvallis' ranking in the CDI. UPDATE (Oct. 29): The New England Journal of Higher Education mentions the CDI in a recent editorial. UPDATE (Nov. 1): San Jose State University features AIER's CDI ranking on its website. UPDATE (Nov. 16): Mizzou, the magazine of the University of Missouri Alumni Association, writes an article about the CDI and the University of Utah Alumni Assoication also discusses its school ranking in the CDI.
