Since its release on Tuesday, September 7, AIER's College Destinations Index (CDI) has been highlighted by numerous TV, radio and print outlets. Lynch said Ithaca did especially well in their measurements of academic environment. Ithaca has 310 college students for every 1000 residents, 11.5 percent of the student body is from overseas, and 64.4 percent of the population between 25 and 34 having completed a degree. Student concentration, degree attainment, and research spending were the highest among the top 20 college towns, as determined by AIER.
