Kenneth D'Amica, who has been working part-time for AIER since 2008, has joined the Institute as a full-time research fellow. D'Amica received his B.S. in economics and english with a minor in mathematics from the University at Albany in 2007. He is currently finalizing his thesis to complete a M.S. in mathematics, also from the University at Albany. His research specialities include the business-cycle, employment and trade. D'Amica currently lives in Albany, NY.

The College Destinations Index (CDI), published by the American Institute for Economic Research in August 2009, is still making news. The Austin Monthly, the lifestyle magazine for the city of Austin, TX, has recently published an article about how Austin ranks nationally and mentioned the CDI amongst its statistics. The rankings within the our index were also highlighted in the Salt Lake City Budget Book, the Mountaineer Parents Club (a newsletter for parents of students attending WVU), the City of San Jose website, the AOL lifestyle website, Education-Portal.com, and the Economic Alliance of Greater Balitmore.

The American Institute for Economic Research, a leading economic research organization, sent booklets of the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence to every elected state representatives, the organization announced today.
“Our elected representatives need to understand the underpinnings of this great democracy,” said Charlie Murray, American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) President and CEO. “By sending them a copy of these Founding documents, we are doing our part in reminding them that America’s success as a nation is very much the result of an adherence to the principles found in these documents and that every decision they make in their public life should be based on these principles if they want our country and our Commonwealth to continue to be successful.”
