Charles E. Murray, president and CEO of the American Institute for Economic Research, a nonpartisan think tank in Great Barrington, said some economic indicators, such as gross domestic product and measures of employee productivity, are increasing. AIER Meet and Greet Events Draw a Crowd PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 02 March 2010 11:41

AIER brought our Meet and Greet series onto the road last month. Members and interested readers in Pennsylvania met with AIER researchers and staff at Lafayette College, Grove City College, Shippensburg College, and in Harrisburg and Philadelphia. We also hosted events in Albany, NY, and East Windsor, CT.

President and CEO Charles Murray and Research Fellow Walker F. Todd topped the roster of speakers. "Ask the Expert" columnists Kevin McGrath and Steven J.J. Weisman joined the discussion at several locations as did John Barry, president of American Investment Services (AIS), our wholly owned investment subsidiary. Many AIER and AIS staffers also attended the gatherings to join in a evening of appetizers and lively discussions of property rights, the estate tax, and financial planning. Keep an eye out for future AIER events on our website. Below are some photos from the Albany event.
