AIER CEO and President Charles Murray was quoted by The Springfield Republican in an April 7article "Business Confidence Climbs." The section quoting Murray is below: Charles E. Murray, president and CEO of the American Institute for Economic Research, a nonpartisan think tank in Great Barrington, said some economic indicators, such as gross domestic product and measures of employee productivity, are increasing. But other indicators like unemployment just are not improving because employers are afraid to hire.
"There is no life at all among our lagging indicators," Murray said. "If we were in a recovery we would see those start to turn." Click here to read the full article.
