How do I access my digital membership publications?

Only subscribing members have access to the AIER archive of Research Reports and Economic Bulletins (not a member? Click here to join). Access to this archive is granted to members through a password we provide via the AIER Online email. For security reasons this password changes every month (corresponding with the release of a new Research Report or Economic Bulletin). The subject of these emails are formatted like this "AIER Online - January 8, 2008" and the emails are usually sent out on Mondays (with a few exceptions).

  • Visit the Archive.
  • Enter the password when prompted.
  • Click on Research Reports, Economic Bulletins or Special Reports and it will bring you to a page where you can click on the year.
  • All the files are organized by their dates, for example “Research Reports – 1/12/2009”.
  • To download any file you can click on the title or click on the download button below (after the description of the article), “download” is the furthest to the left.

These files are all in pdf format and should print easily. You can also click “view” below the file to view the publication in a browser window on your computer screen.

Keep an eye out for the emails detailing the newest publications, this is your key to the digital archive.

What is a coupon code?

When ordering a book, you may be asked to select your coupon code from a drop-down menu. Coupon codes come from letters that AIER sends out periodically advertising our latest publications. They often offer a discount off the list price of the book. Even if you did not receive a letter from AIER, you are welcome to select a coupon code to receive a discount.

What is AIER Online?

We send out “AIER Online” emails to all of our subscribing members, including print and digital members. The purpose of these emails is to give members an exclusive preview of the most recent publications from AIER. We typically email out this preview 4 days before we mail out the print issue (mailed on Monday). This gives members quicker access to the newest Research Report or Economic Bulletin.

AIER Online is sent to members every two weeks (with a few exceptions).

The email contains:

  • Information on the latest publications
  • A password to access the Archive
  • Your membership discount code
  • Website news
  • A Research Commentary highlight

If you have recently become an AIER member but you have not received any AIER Online emails, please wait 3 to 4 weeks to process your membership subscription. If it has been more than 3 months, please add us to your "Safe Senders" list.

Why isn't my membership information online?

At this time, AIER is unable to link its membership database (subscription history, expiration date, etc.) with the website. Unfortunately this means that members cannot manage their subscriptions online. We are working hard to incorporate this feature in the future.

If you have a question about your membership, please call us toll free at 888-528-1216.
