AIER’s highly regarded internship program is intended to introduce accomplished undergraduate and graduate students to economic research. We offer both paid and unpaid internships as a valuable component to our multi-faceted workplace environment. 

An internship with AIER can be a wonderful opportunity for gaining solid professional experience. Working closely with AIER staff and visiting scholars provides students with real world applications for their academic coursework and studies.

Internships conducted during the summer months feature a wide range of learning opportunities. Interns are invited to attend academic seminars and have the chance to interact with visiting research fellows and other outside scholars.

Non-researcher intern positions are available in the fields of: accounting, communications and marketing, development, IT, online communications, human resources and publishing services.

Internships vary in length and responsibilities by department. Please contact your college or university internship office for requirements in receiving academic credit for an internship. All interns must be authorized to be employed in the United States.
